The Premise
Most people arrive holding one thing. A cassette of a grandfather talking. Three pages of a memoir that stopped. A photograph nobody can date. A chorus that’s been half-finished for a decade.
What they don’t have is a way to move it forward — one that doesn’t mean handing the story to a stranger and hoping.
The studio is that way forward. You bring the material. The studio gives you the sequence, the tools at each step, and — if you want one — a guide who has done it before. The system was tuned for legacy stories, but it isn’t limited to them: bring a novel, a protest, a love letter, a company’s origin, a joke that got out of hand.

The Map · Stages One Through Four
The map tells you three things at every point: where you are, what happens next, and who is doing the work. Nothing is a black box, and nothing happens that you didn't ask for.
Shape the story into lines. The writing room includes a helper toolbox — meter, rhyme, structure, alternate phrasings, a nudge when a verse stalls — so you are never staring at an empty page. The words stay yours; the toolbox just keeps the pen moving.
You set the genre, the instrumentation, the voice, the tempo, the room it should sound like. The generator returns takes; you choose. Already have the music? Upload your own recording and skip straight to timing.
The track separates into stems — vocal, drums, bass, instruments — and every lyric is matched to the waveform without you lifting a finger. Stems are yours to keep, remix, or hand to a mixing engineer.
Then you correct it by hand, line by line, syllable by syllable. This is the unglamorous step that separates a song from something watchable — and it's the file every later stage depends on.
The map keeps going. Stages five and six turn this timed track into a storyboard and a film — and attribution runs quietly alongside all six, logging what was human, what was generated, and when.

The Horse Adjutant is a musical made in this studio — a survivor’s account carried from testimony to lyric to score to a staged production. It is the reason the map exists, and the reason every stage of it is written down.
